It is a good fit for companies that need a feasible employee training solution, especially when it comes to handling both training and evaluation.

Users who need to create unique branding (even for different departments, customers, or clients) have hit the jackpot. No worries about xAPI, SCORM, and AICC support. They've got you covered. Absorb LMS also includes full eCommerce out-of-the-box.

It is a passe-partout tool that can handle all aspects of your eLearning needs. Last but not least, offering a responsive learner interface makes it easy to work on any device.

Courses And Types Of Learning Scenarios

The Absorb LMS team takes extra care of your compliance training and data security needs. The platform offers users WCAG 2.0 compliance (for both learners and administrators). Also, there is a SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and GDPR compliance. Using worldwide AWS servers gives them the power to deal with international training operations.

If building learning cultures and driving reliable results is your primary goal, implementing this tool can be your major step to joining a growing community.

There are 3 types of courses you can have:

  • Imported

Absorb's users can import third-party eLearning courses. Thankfully, everything works fine if you've used any of the following formats like SCORM, Tin Can, or AICC. Importing a course package is simple as a process. You can add a brand new online course or add learning objects to an existing online course.

  • Created in Absorb LMS

Whether you're building LMS courses from scratch or refining existing materials, you can deliver engaging learning experiences to your team—whether via audiovisual lectures, microlearning courses, ILC's, simulations, or anything in between.

  • Content libraries

Content libraries like BIZLIBRARY, Skillsoft, and LinkedIn Learning give you access to thousands of carefully curated courses led by industry experts. You can search this vast variety of content and leverage proven content. Then, you can focus your efforts on creating training on topics that are unique to your business.

Targeted Businesses

Absorb LMS is an all-in-one learning platform that makes learning enjoyable for those consuming it and those creating it. You can leverage this system for academic/education and corporate/business.

Plus, the fact that it includes eCommerce makes it an ideal choice for those looking for valuable training content and those creating modules.

Worldwide organizations can use it to provide employee training, external training, or both. If you want in-person training, live online training, or webinars, it covers every aspect of your needs.

Synchronous and asynchronous learning won't be an issue since there is a variety of training options available. More specifically, it is ideal for Blended learning, which is exactly what most businesses need, no matter their niche.

You'll love using its Built-in Course Authoring, and you'll surely enjoy implementing gamification elements into your training. Also, its Learner Portal and other social learning tools will help learners create strong connections and make learning an everyday habit.

To conclude, Absorb LMS is an excellent tool for organizations with a few or up to hundreds or even thousands of learners mainly due to its scalability, robust features, and user-friendly environment.

Setup And System Configuration

As a cloud-based Learning Management System, it is pretty easy to set up and run in just a few days. In fact, I was really impressed with how fast its implementation is since it might only take you from 4 to 8 weeks.

So, deploying a cloud-based LMS like this makes learning accessible in the moment of need. Also, it reduces the cost of training material as well as minimizes on-site instructor expenses.

If you're into anytime-anywhere learning, then the Absorb LMS Mobile App brings training in your pocket. Admins and learners can tackle tasks quickly and easily from their compatible smart devices. Thus, getting this mobile learning solution will empower your teams and help create a learning culture that never stops.

Finally, there is always the option of Absorb Infuse. That is a solution for organizations that want greater control over their training and don’t want to compromise their brand, culture, or training efforts.

Absorb Infuse allows your L&D team to put training anywhere. That means you can now think of training in a completely different way. By considering how training supports your work activities, you can try and put your training as close as possible to what your staff is trying to accomplish every day. This way, you make training far more effective.

It enables you to seamlessly integrate training into your native systems and applications that you already work in. As a result, it empowers your Learning and Development team to embed training in the workflow. Infuse is like a learner interface, but you get to build it however you want!

License Model/Pricing

The team at Absorb LMS can custom-tailor plans and pricing to meet the needs of large and small organizations.

Its pricing falls somewhere between enterprise and midmarket. Also, they can tailor user-count or usage-based licensing to your needs and help you reach an affordable price plan. Associations and eLearning providers that need eCommerce can also be accommodated.

Give this scalable LMS a try to discover on your own that creating courses should never feel difficult or tedious. Don't worry if you can't figure something out. Absorb LMS supports integration and security with more tools than you can imagine while providing 24/7 in-house support.

Integrations

Truth be told, a learning system needs to support numerous integrations, such as third-party apps, additional features, and SSO.

This tool offers turnkey integrations with a broad cross-section of leading solutions like Salesforce, Zoom, Namely, bambooHR, ADP, and more. Absorb LMS integrates with virtually any platform you can imagine!

Users can benefit from Absorb LMS by automatically assigning dashboards, courses, learning plans, and catalogs. The fact that it allows your HCM/HRIS to be the source of user information makes it easier to identify patterns, thus, helping you spot and improve career development, employee retention, and satisfaction.

Besides, you can use it to train your sales teams with relevant content. All done in the flow of work. This way, it becomes easier to expedite deal speed and increase revenue. Plus, connecting with customers becomes more direct than before. For example, you can use it during or after a sale to facilitate product onboarding. Or even for feature adoption and ongoing customer training. As a result, it adds to the overall customer success of your business.

If you are in the business of learning selling materials, you'll appreciate Absorb's deep eCommerce functionality. Plus, you can leverage its features to drive payment processes, use international servers, or even manage multiple currencies. You even get the chance to vary pricing for different audiences.

Those of you who are looking for a learning platform that can integrate across various systems with pre-built connectors and APIs, be assured that Absorb gets the job done.

Feature Highlights

Absorb LMS fosters deeper learner comprehension with its features, leading to better retention rates. As an intuitive platform, it supports a variety of multimedia content formats (AICC/SCORM Support, xAPI Support, Built-In Course Authoring) and has a responsive design.

Even without an internet connection, you can leverage its modern mobile app to train offline. Of course, your learners' course progress can automatically sync when the connection is restored. What's more, you get to benefit from its social learning capabilities and actionable reporting features.

As a manager, you can prove the ROI of each learning program. As an Instructional Designer, you can use its flexible and out-of-the-box reporting to optimize your training courses.

From configuring admin dashboards to scheduling automated reporting and critical data, you have everything you need at your fingertips. Plus, you get branded interfaces and so much more.

If you are an admin, you'll love the Availability Rules on the Absorb LMS. You can use them to add versatility in how you present your content to different groups of learners.

Furthermore, the platform offers an excellent tool for managing and organizing your learning content into categories. Consequently, admins can organize their content (course content, global resources, and competencies) in their own sets of categories.

As a user, you'll enjoy productivity games within Absorb, especially with automated functionality related to enrollments, reminders, certifications, and reporting. With this tool, you can design and configure learning experiences to match your unique business and learner needs.

Features like leaderboards and social learning keep learners engaged with your content and connected with your business and each other. Plus, you can utilize public dashboards to keep learners up to date.

For more in-depth, customized learning experiences, you can give Absorb Infuse a try. This next-gen learning solution propels learning in the flow of work. It empowers users to deliver unique training in their own systems and applications where learners usually spend their time. Furthermore, this solution offers you the ability to create engaging scenarios and open up a whole new world to your training.

For example, clients use Virtual Reality simulations powered by Absorb Infuse to provide a seamless VR experience that completes training and gateways the next steps, moving from a VR environment to the real deal. You can then leverage the metrics and evaluate how successful the transition from VR to onset was.

I highly suggest you request a demo to learn more. It was one of the most engaging I've taken in a while now.

Finally, Absorb offers robust security, so no need to worry about that.

Pros/Cons Of Absorb LMS

Absorb LMS falls under the scope of LMS platforms that are intuitive and flexible. Leading brands worldwide have specific styling design requirements and need to showcase their innovation in several fields. Thus, design and aesthetics are the key features of this tool.

Absorb's new framework accelerates administration workflows and boasts an improved reporting system. To put it simply, this LMS makes learning better within your organization. So, even if you are not very familiar with making your own courses, this system simplifies processes.

I want to make a special note of the Availability Rules. If you're an admin, it will make your management duties so much easier. This feature gives administrators the ability to filter access to each project quickly.

For instance, by filtering access to courses, new content, marketing billboards, polls, contests, or other resources, you get to give learners an extremely personalized LMS experience. Adding rules that target particular groups of users is something you'll find extremely useful.

User Experience is essential for learners and administrators. By focusing on clients' needs, Absorb uses a product roadmap to improve functionality and features. Meaning, they value feedback more than anything else.

Therefore, one of the major cons of Absorb is that the team releases updates continually. The reporting suite of Absorb LMS is robust, but I'd love to see an even more in-depth project management and reporting approach in future updates. Also, it would be great to see how its authoring tool is going to evolve in the future. However, you'll be covered for basic authoring actions.

Users log in to the community and suggest features by adding their ideas. People vote on the best solution that would actually help enhance the UX, and voila! Absorb's team will add it to their roadmap. Of course, it might take up to 6 months to create a new feature, but it is well worth waiting.

Step by step, the team delivers industry-leading functionalities and also takes under consideration new technology standards. You've always got something new to explore and leverage.

Besides, Absorb offers full-service LMS Course Development as well. Actually, they've got a CLO-level leadership team dedicated to creating courses if you can't handle it on your own—ranging from converting existing material to an eLearning format or even crafting branded learning experiences from scratch.

Absorb LMS also takes a unique approach to eCommerce. For example, customers can monetize internal employee training without extra costs.

One thing is certain, with Absorb LMS, you can tailor all projects to your precise training needs.

User Satisfaction

Functionality and customization are something you'll enjoy when working with Absorb LMS. Let's say they make the Customer Experience more exciting and personalized. The system allows you to adapt your learning strategy to the needs of younger workers as well. You can reduce learners' attention span with the use of shorter videos. Plus, you can benefit from its gamification features and start introducing badges to spark up your training.

Absorb support is impressive. It all starts by being knowledgeable and responsive. You can trust that their support team is on top of every issue that might arise. Implementing an LMS is not considered to be easy, but Absorb LMS makes the experience as seamless as possible. You don't have to worry about turn-around time, plus you'll get great responses and solutions on time.

Absorb support empowers your business with a can-do attitude. All they need to do is figure out the process, and they'll make it happen. They are there to work with you and answer questions.

Absorb LMS empowers you to deliver training across your ecosystem of learners, from employees, partners, and resellers to customers, students, and other external audiences. The system helps you ensure that your learners have all the information they need to effectively buy, sell, promote, or use your training content.

The functionality of this system is designed to drive business and bring results. The LMS User Experience is seamless and intuitive for admins and learners alike. That is vital when you need to train rather than spend needless time learning how to use the system. What's more, the customizable billboards and tiles can be used to display news, promotions, new courses, or FAQs.

Thankfully, Absorb LMS is built to scale as your business grows.

Customer Support

Overall the customer service is superb, as the support team goes above and beyond to help out customers. They are hard-working and energetic and care to give the right solutions by building a trusting relationship at the same time.

It is rare to have such first-class customer service. Absorb strives to scale with clients' needs over the years. Plus, they are always adding new features, which is a great treat and might give you new ideas for your training programs. Most importantly, they pay attention to user feedback and deliver what you need based on your organization's needs.

Finally, newbies can take advantage of all the knowledge and how-tos shared in Absorb wizard. You can visit the Absorb academy and watch their short tutorials to get answers to your questions (around 2 minutes duration).

Benefitting From Absorb LMS

The team at Absorb has delivered an intelligent LMS you can implement for all types of organizations and learners. Whether you're a small to mid-sized business or a large corporation, it will help organize and enhance your training programs. Plus, you'll notice a boost in learner engagement right from the start. Undoubtedly, this platform will help you reach your business goals regardless of who you're training or why.

Business growth certainly makes an LMS that is scalable a go-to solution. Not only does this tool simplify managing corporate training, but it also automates dull tasks so that you can work on what matters.

Its ease of use makes administration effortless for all types of users. If you need to implement a system quickly, Absorb LMS is undoubtedly a good deal since implementation takes only 4 to 8 weeks.

Your teams can benefit from this learning system immensely. It is a slick and modern, quite polished professional tool that is easy to use. Your employees can see what type of training they need to complete and when they need to do so with ease.

In this system, you can capture all the training activities that are taking place across your company. Giving access to professional development through this simple and intuitive system will make your employees happier and more engaged.

What do you like best? The ability to customize our trainings and the support team has been amazing. Our sales process to onboarding was flawless.
What do you dislike? The one thing we would like to see is a better Google Hangout integration so we can do live calls that are recorded and have them synced directly with our calendar.

What do you like best? The customizability and flexibility of the system out-of-the-box is great, plus the addition of additional technical features such as API, scheduled data imports, etc. really expand its capabilities to be a custom fit for us. There's not much I can think of that Absorb cannot do as an LMS! And their support team always has great ideas, is extremely responsive, and pleasant to work with. The support we've received from the Absorb team is fantastic - always going above and beyond.
What do you dislike? My company would like to really utilize more social capabilities of the platform, i.e. communities of practice and increased learner interactions. That being said, the Absorb team is always coming out with new features and improvements that I'm really excited about, so really interested to see what comes down the pipeline.

What do you like best? Absorb's admin UI makes deploying and assigning training easy. As a first time user, it was immediately clear how to upload a course, make it available, and assign it to users. Because we are a smaller organization, I'm not in Absorb every day, but there's never a need to refamiliarize myself with the layout. Bright colors, big buttons, Navigation on the left, do stuff buttons on the right - it's visually friendly.
What do you dislike? I think there's a miss not having a quick search bar in the Users and Courses screens in the admin panel. When you've got 15 pages or more worth of users, trying to find out if someone in the M's finished their new-hire training can be a few clicks too many.

What do you like best? It is relatively easy to set up, especially if you follow the project plan provided by Absorb and your customer care rep. The reporting and learner experience is good, with little things that can be adjusted for an even better experience. Overall, we are very happy with the product and services.

What do you like best? Absorb provides a nice environment to create courses and curriculum customized to L&D goals. I was up and running within a day. The number of options on how to customized the environment are extensive, yet not overwhelming. Support has been excellent.

What do you like best? Ease of navigation and user interface. Absorb is easy to navigate when entering data or looking for data.
What do you dislike? Reporting! Absorb is unable to do reporting at the level we need it, which results in reports that need a lot of manual work to meet our needs. Also, tech support is often unable to solve a problem, or their solution is that we try upgrading to their business analytics service for an additional fee, with no guarantee that will solve our needs either.

What do you like best? Admin side is intuitive and offers easy templates for a variety of customizations, while the user side offers multiple layouts that they can control and different options to check in on their training progress and certificates. It's so easy now to push out training and reminder messages to mass groups or individuals.
What do you dislike? I have found some minor limitations in reporting and venues that could use improvement, but have found Absorb support managers to be very responsive and helpful in sharing workarounds. I love the community support site feature and see many great ideas there but not enough response from Absorb staff. I would love to see more comments from Absorb so that we know if something has been noted and is in the pipeline.

Absorb is an LMS with a great UX and easiest UI and admin dashboard to date.

What do you like best? The way the admin side is organized (very easy to learn & use daily) and their elite customer service. A killer combination that will enable you and your organization to thrive.
What do you dislike? I would like to see some current functions developed further and the SCORM exportation process to be smoothed out (in regards to providing this service to organizations at a low rate or for free).

What do you like best? The upgrades to the interface have made the system much more user friendly, more robust and such a pleasant design. Our CSM has been stellar.
What do you dislike? The delayed support response times when submitting a ticket have been very long, resulting in extended down times. Not being able to call the support team direct for a quick inquiry or assistance is very frustrating. Enrollment delays with our new learners are also frustrating for the learners and our teams.

What do you like best? Our Client Success Manager has been hugely helpful for walking through admin user-assistance.
What do you dislike? it's not Absorb's fault, but would be helpful to integrate with our HRIS so there wouldn't be as much manual work for admins with groups.

What do you like best? Easy to use, great customer support and easy certification program creation. I also like the fact that we customize our brand.
What do you dislike? Takes quite some time to get used to how the system generates reports, but other than that all good. We are very pleased with our selection.

What do you like best? The data grids and all the features tied to them. I've set up many data grid views depending on what I am looking for.
What do you dislike? When creating a new course, I need to click buttons at the bottom to get additional settings, but do not need to click all the buttons. I wish there was a way to default to showing only the buttons and settings I need.

What do you like best? The way the admin side is organised (very eay to learn & use daily) + the service is really really great.
What do you dislike? I would like to see some functions even further developed so they would be even more tailor made for our company. That being said, an LMS is a work in progress and the Absorb development teams works really hard to improve. Communication of LMS updates (what has been updated and when) could be better though.

What do you like best? Having implemented the system 2 years ago and been the primary administrator for that entire time, there isn't much I like about this system. It's just not well suited to our needs as a company training internal and external users (employees and customers) in a period of growth.
What do you dislike? The reporting is convoluted and inconsistent. There is no revenue metric reporting, so if you're selling content, you will need to pull information from three different reports and combine them in an Excel worksheet. Report dashboards have different column options, so it's difficult to see information in one place. Support is inconsistent as well; we often heard "We can't do that" as a response to technical issues. No versioning, so when you update a course, you have to re-enroll all users.
